Our Marine Biologist friend Kelly Thorvalson says that turtles can hatch during the day. It is just rare when they do. Whew! I am glad for that and glad these paintings are printed and ready to go out to stores. Thank you to Connie Brady who spent the day helping me get them ready.

Graydon's last painting for the At the Beach series is done! Woo Hoo! Now he gets a couple of months off. I will scan it and post it to the web tomorrow. It is quite simple but I think it is a perfect beach scene complete with "critters". However, Graydon told me today that it is not a true rendition. I asked him why and he said that the turtles would not be heading toward the ocean during the day (hence the blue sky). They do this at night. So sorry to all of you biologists out there, this scene was my idea. Should we call this painting "late for school"?

Graydon's Critters will be available for purchase at Wonder Works beginning June 4th. They are having a family fun filled festival this day from 11-4 and it's FREE! Graydon will be there partaking in all of the fun and celebrating his new venture with them as they sell both the Rosebank Farms Cafe and At the Beach series of note cards. Please come out for fun and to tell us hello.

Guess what????? We are blogging. This blog has been created for 2 purposes; one, to keep you posted on Graydon's new work and two, to keep you posted on our sponsor child. Graydon has a mission that he is now helping to support and that is Remember Niger. A portion of every note card sale will go toward paying for a child in Niger to attend school now through 6th grade. I will keep you posted on the process as the founder and our friend, Kara VanderKamp, travels to Niger in July with an art and school supply package from Graydon for his new friend. It is our dream that the child chosen will be close in age to Graydon and also have the same love for art. We plan to follow this child through school to 6th grade which is the educational limit for most children there. At that time, we think it would be such a blessing to visit this child in Africa as he graduates and prepares himself for the next stages in his life.
